English’s in the autumn

As summer slowly draws to a close, it might seem too soon to be talking about autumn – but we’ve got plans for September that will make you excited to see the nights become cooler and the afternoons a time to spend indoors.

On 5th September we’re bringing you our NEW Express Lunch menu. Enjoy a main course and dessert, or glass of house wine, for just £12.50. Our menu will be changing (almost) daily, and will offer dishes you won’t find on our à la carte menu. We’ll also be zipping them out of the kitchen quick sharp, so you can enjoy a leisurely lunch with us, rather than a sandwich at your desk. Last year’s menu included fishcake, risotto and mussels, followed by creme brûlée, apple & almond tart and white chocolate mousse, so keep an eye on social media to see what this year will bring.

And for you lobster lovers, we’re launching Lobster Night on the 6th September! Tuesday night is Lobster Night at English’s, and we’ll be serving an exclusive menu, giving you the choice of a half or whole lobster, cooked to order from a menu of classic dishes, including Newberg (butter, brandy, marsala wine, cream, fish stock, cayenne pepper) and Amoricaine (tomato, shallots, brandy, white wine, fish stock, cayenne pepper, cream).

Enjoy half (£20) or whole (£40) lobster with garlic chips, glass of fizz and a bib every Tuesday from 5pm.

Last but not least, October sees the start of our new autumn menu. Although there’s nothing quite like a cold seafood platter out on the terrace with a chilled bottle of wine, we’ll never turn down a cosy evening indoors with whole seabass, tart tatin, and a generous cheese board and glass of syrupy dessert wine.

Join us from 6th October for brand new dishes, never served before, as well as a new set menu and dessert menu.
