English’s NEW Autumn Menu – the return of bouillabaisse!

With the launch of the new oyster season and an event to thank our most loyal friends and customers, September has been a busy one for us – but not quite as busy as it’s been for our team in the kitchen! On the 18th we launched our new Autumn Menu, and have already received some great feedback from our customers. We’re really excited about all of the brand new dishes that we’ve introduced to the menu – and we know a lot of you will be more than happy to see the annual return of English’s bouillabaisse!

Fish pie’s also back on the menu, which we know a lot of you have been waiting for – plus Redland’s Farm steak & kidney pudding, this time served with a rosemary jus. If you’re in the mood to try something new, we’ve got pan-fried fillet of stone bass served with roasted carrots and seeds and a wild mushroom sauce, or for dessert we’ve got cocoa and red stout cake with crème Anglaise.

You might have seen on Twitter that we’re currently running English’s Express Lunch menu. Every day we serve a special two-course meal for just £10. It’s available Monday-Friday from 12-5pm, and is perfect if you’re heading into Brighton to go to the theatre or cinema, want to get a taste of the kind of food you’ll find at English’s, or are looking for a decadent seafood lunch on a budget. We only announce the daily menu on Twitter, so make sure you’re following us to find out what we’re dishing up.

Finally, we’ll be launching our Festive Menu at the start of October, so keep your eyes peeled for that! It might seem a bit early to be thinking about Christmas, but we’re already getting enquiries for party bookings and it’s always best to start getting dates in the diary now to avoid disappointment. There’ll be no strict requirements for ordering, either – we’ll be offering our a la carte menu as usual, plus our Classics Menu, and guests are free to choose from any of them, no matter how large or small your party is.
