English’s and Rathfinny Wine Estate in new Partnership.
We are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership between English’s and the esteemed, Rathfinny Wine Estate.
Rathfinny is family-owned Wine Estate, established in 2010 by Mark and Sarah Driver, dedicated to producing some of the world’s finest vintage sparkling wines from a perfect site in Sussex, England. Located on a wonderful south-facing slope in England’s South Downs, the climate, chalk soil and aspect make it the perfect site for producing Sussex Sparkling wine.
We asked Richard, from the Rathfinny team, to tell us what they are looking for from the relationship between two iconic Sussex businesses.
Supporting local relations
A partnership between Rathfinny Wine Estate and English’s presents the perfect synergy between two brands with a deep-rooted connection to our shared sense of place along the Sussex coastline. We both like to champion locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and create high quality experiences for our customers.
Seafood & Sparkling
We aim to promote our sparkling wine best enjoyed with the finest food. English’s sommelier and chef have great palates and our sparkling wines will pair with so many of their dishes. The most undeniable pairing is the Blanc de Blancs with the oysters, but then again, the Classic Cuvée pairs with so many of the fish dishes, most notably the unique seafood pie.
Events
We hope to collaborate on some unique sparkling wine and seafood events during our partnership. For instance, in late summer we would love to help host an oyster and Sparkling wine masterclass.”
