English’s Summer Menu 2019
We are delighted to bring you our new English’s Summer Menu. Head Chef Yuri Magni has excelled himself this year with a new take on some old favourites as well as some sumptuous additions to our a la Carte and set menus. First up…
Seafood Burger – this is Yuri’s take on the summer time favourite – a grilled smoked haddock & crab cake, topped with crab mayonnaise, Parma-ham, lettuce guacamole and tangy Sriracha on a devilishly dark and delicious charcoal bun.
Monkfish tail – a real treat and customer favourite, so get it now whilst you can! The firm meaty monkfish tail is oven baked and served on the bone to ensure maximum flavour. It’s served with aubergine, spring onion and rich romesco sauce. So tasty!
Oyster Ceviche – we’ve been developing this idea for a while now and we are pleased to say that we have hit on the perfect balance of tang, zing, heat and umami to please the most discerning pal-ate! Freshly turned oyster with onion, tomato, coriander, lime juice and a few of our head oyster shucker’s secret ingredients!
Plaice fillet – one for the kids, simple, healthy and delicious, what’s not to like? Fresh fillets of plaice served with green beans and mashed potatoes. A dish that is sure to delight the little ones!
Scallop Ceviche – a must have for the summer, available in starter and main course portion, chopped fresh scallop mixed with satsuma, spring onion, lime, coriander, tomato and jalapeno served in the scallop shell; so fresh you can taste the sunshine!
Seafood Risotto – available in starter and main course portion. A rich, creamy seafood risotto made with bisque, fresh squid and tomato and topped with mussels, clams, prawn and scallop, a real treat this summer!
Mille-feuille – to round off your meal, try this taste-filled delight; puff-pastry layers with lashings of lemon curd and Chantilly cream studded with fresh strawberries and topped off with mint and meringue.
