What a(nother) year it’s been! Christmas at least offers us a chance to kick back, to rest and reflect and be with our loved ones, although at the time of sending this, there are still some uncertainties around what the immediate future might bring.
One thing is certain, here at English’s we will continue to provide the safest possible space for you to enjoy your dining experience – whilst we are allowed to do so by the government. All of our management team and staff are aware of the need to keep the restaurant, themselves and our customers, as safe as possible by wearing masks, regular hand washing and sanitising, as well as undertaking thorough clean downs after every booking has left the restaurant.
Anyway, on to more savoury matters, namely the new Winter Menu! Our Head Chef, Yuri Magni, has created some quite delicious festive favourites, including:
Starters:
Fried calamari, guacamole, spicy corn & olives salsa, coriander
Burger, brioche bun, cannellini beans patty, matured cheddar, tapenade, pickled onions, sundried tomato mayonnaise, rocket V
Mains:
Goose breast, celeriac dauphinoise, wilted spinach, red currant, cider demi-glace
Seafood pie, smoked haddock, salmon, scallop, prawn, mussels, clams, mornay sauce, potato, peas, dill

Lastly, we’d just like to let you know of our opening times over the festive period – until we’re told otherwise. As usual, we’re open Christmas Eve with last orders at 15:30, we’re then closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and we’re open again as usual from December 27-31 from midday until 22:00, wth last orders on New Year’s Day at 15:30. From January 2nd we’re open at the usual times of midday to 22:00 – fingers crossed! If things change, we’ll be in touch again.
