Homeward Bound

English’s is delighted to be part of the Homeward Bound Festival, which is taking place at sites across The Living Coast on the 2 & 3 October 2021. It’s a celebration of the fishing and maritime industries, as well as the region’s rich folk music tradition and ocean-bound cultural heritage.

There’ll be live music and fine-dining opportunities, and sea-themed talks, exhibitions and events presented by passionate individuals, local businesses, charities and community groups, with events and activities all along the coast between Shoreham and Newhaven.

English’s participation features a stand on the terrace at the restaurant on Saturday 2 October, where our very own Oysterman, Jonathan Speirs, will be at the Oyster Stand on our terrace between 12:00 and 15:00. Come along and try out some of the finest oysters in the city as well as sampling our Homeward Bound Set Menu that features 3 courses for just £30.

Visitors can browse the listings of What’s On, plan their route for a day of festival activities, or just stroll down to the shore and enjoy the best of sea-inspired music, food, drinks and activities.
